My wife obviously took the photos. I’m pretty sure I would have chosen a different feature to take a snap of.

It would be great to get a bit more description from Gentleman’s Box regarding how they feel the items fit the theme. I thought they formed a cohesive whole without being too tacky (like mirror dice).

Das Boom Everywhere Lotion ($3) I’ve used this lotion before and like the smell. It really does smell like rum, smoke, and dirt, which is a plus, because my wife won’t use it.

Ties.com Sherman Tie Clip ($25)  I can’t say that I would have selected this tie bar myself, the color is a bit bold, but in the context of an entire suit it might provide a great pop of color. I liked the brushed metal look.

Happy Socks ($12) This is a fun brand and it’s always good to have a fun dress sock under an otherwise standard outfit.

Ties.com Color Edge Pocket Square ($10) I don’t have much occasion to wear a pocket square in the winter but it would look good with a nice navy blazer.

Statement Shoelaces ($5)  I think these would look good with a tan suede shoe, or maybe even a navy one.

This box definitely had an orange theme which is a little overwhelming when you put everything right next to each other, but I think judicious use of color is good, and I often receive orange-accented items in other boxes. The January box is definitely going to stretch my comfort level with colors but that’s not a bad thing.

The box includes two compartments – one for the magazine and one for the items. I noted the information card deftly and smartly side-stepped any actual mention of Bond.

The information card came with the the items and the retail values of each. This box costs $25 per month.

Secret Agent USB Cufflinks ($25)

Billy Jealousy White Knight Facial Cleanser ($5) I love this brand and this is a great cleanser. Every agent should have a clean face.

Skinny Tie Madness Plaid Tie ($29) I first thought this tie was a bit more suited to Easter, but then realized it was a playful twist on traditional Christmas shades.

This was a well-curated box with excellent value (I calculated $77 instead of the stated $78, but that’s minor). While I didn’t receive it, I saw a photo of the December box, which was equally as nice. Looking forward to seeing more installments over the next few months.
